INTRODUCTION:
CrawfordNotch State Park has an abundance of hiking trails that provide magnificent views. And within this same area, there are even more beautiful sights to be discovered if you are of a mind to bushwhack off the beaten path.😉
This very short blog-posting describes one such adventure undertaken in mid-October 2020 when I bushwhacked a few tenths of a mile up Webster Brook. This brook drains the ravine on the south side of Mt. Webster (3,910 ft).
Shown below is a map of the area where this adventure took place. The portion of Webster Brook that I explored is circled in yellow.

I usually receive an email when you post a blog, but I didn't receive a notice about this posting!
So today I was looking at blogs on my reading list and noticed this post from two weeks ago.
What a pleasant mid-October outing! The brook and cliff would have been enough of a treat, but the view from the rock outcrop is really the icing on the cake! Sorry John, but I have to respectfully disagree that this vista is a "limited one". Any view with that much brilliantly colored fall foliage—limited or not—is still a fantastic one!

Yeh . . . I don’t know what is going on with blogspot. I’ve tried fixing the e-mail notification thing, but so far have been unsuccessful. Please let me know if you have any insights into this issue.
