You're right about one thing - I've seen many versions of these images before. I've also been fortunate to see all of them numerous times in person. I'll NEVER get tired of them though. Acadia and all of Mt Desert for that matter is one of my very favorite places on earth. We're so lucky to have such a gem close enough that we can drive there in a day. Your images (sorry, I can never think of your photos as snapshots) capture everything so beautifully. They also remind me how much I love this place in the autumn and how long overdue we are for a visit in this wonderful season. Thanks for the reminder!

Mark Mark Trumanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14668923500714114502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541721184143597039.post-81843591586728010292012-10-08T20:35:23.010-04:002012-10-08T20:35:23.010-04:00Hi Marcy,

It’s a special place, and one of the crown jewels in our national park system. And yes, the coastal scenes at that park are spectacular. It is coastal New England at its finest!

John
1HappyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242409292439585691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541721184143597039.post-60553341171756452512012-10-08T19:09:28.350-04:002012-10-08T19:09:28.350-04:00Stumbled across your blog via OBN - thanks for sha...Stumbled across your blog via OBN - thanks for sharing glorious views of Acadia! And I like your shots of the Beehive from a vantage point that we did not get to. We all go to see the rocky coast, but I think the inland wetlands, trails, hills, and mountains of Acadia are just as beautiful. Glad you had nice weather. Thanks for sharing your trip.

EllenEllen Snyderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09158932570826154360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541721184143597039.post-13550251231821980272012-10-08T09:18:23.739-04:002012-10-08T09:18:23.739-04:00Glad you liked the photos, Gary.

It had been many years (actually nearly a couple of decades) since my wife and I last visited Acadia. Each time we thought about going, something seemed to get in the way. It was indeed well beyond “time to go back”!

John
1HappyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242409292439585691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5541721184143597039.post-15405857271306280932012-10-08T08:38:24.796-04:002012-10-08T08:38:24.796-04:00Great stuff John!
